How to switch from summer to school

Summertime. When kids get to stay up way past their bedtimes chasing fireflies. Slow afternoons include splashing in the pool, reading books, and lounging on a porch swing. Usually after the 4th of July, we start to notice school supplies being displayed in local stores. Much to our dismay, summer begins to slip away before our very eyes.

As our lazy days include lots of relaxation, at times, items begin to pile up around the house. Shopping bags here, a few suitcases waiting to be unpacked over there. Pool bags spilled out on the floor with goggles, dive toys, and sunscreen.

Most homeowners have grandiose plans of house projects to accomplish throughout the summer. As the days drift by, however, our plans can be put on the back burner. Being present with family and friends can rightfully replace our never-ending to-do lists.

If you’re in this spot…the “summer-is-almost-over-and-I’m-not-ready-for-school” spot, know that there’s help. If you’ve ignored your cluttered basement or keep closing your door to that catchall “guest” room, we can cross these items off your list for you. Whether it’s decluttering, organizing, or tidying, we’re here to serve you. We will have your summer items neatly stored away, and we can pull out school items to prepare for those hectic first days of your new routine. We are also able to help meal plan for those first few busy weeks of school.
